What Is MLD?
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, safe, and effective therapy that aids in total body cellular wellness. MLD is a sequential massage technique that is very relaxing and involves light touching. The purpose of MLD is to open the primary lymph nodes in the body and allow the passage of lymphocytes.
Lymph Nodes are your body's filter and a healthy lymphatic system is crucial for a strong immune response. Efficient lymph flow transports white blood cells that fight infections, ensuring your body is ready to tackle whatever comes its way. They carry cellular debris along with vital materials to support the health and recovery of all systems and aid in tissue repair

What can I expect?
Before Your Treatment
Before sessions clients should come clean and avoid caffeine and alcohol to ensure adequate hydration. They should prepare by drinking 16 oz of water and use the restroom immediately before the service. MLD is underwear required and top optional (though preferred topless.) Undergarments should have no bands and be loose, soft, and sanitary.
During Your Treatment
Active drainage requires the nervous system to power down and the parasympathetic nervous system to turn on. This means the body will be completely relaxed. The feeling of sleepiness of falling asleep is desired for drainage. MLD lowers blood pressure, this can affect those who have LBP or Hypothyroid conditions. Taking it easy and slowly getting up from the bed is a must!
After Your Treatment
After sessions clients should drink another 16 oz of water. Clean water will help the body move, cushion movements, stabilize blood pressure, remove cellular debris, and avoid heavy "detoxing" symptoms. Staying hydrated is key to the best results.
For optimal results:
Clients experience the best results by investing in a series of regular sessions, rather then taking a one-off approach. This is because the more often we put our body into a parasympathetic state, the more opportunity it has to rest and repair.
Regular relaxation is paramount in maintaining optimal mental health. This is why we recommend at least two full body sessions a month but there is no limit to how many sessions a person can have.
Is MLD right for me? Contraindications
Blood clots, organ failure, active infections, fever, fractures, open incisions, level 2 and 3 pitting Edema.
For face- Botox and Filler will be metabolized sooner than the manufacturer states for application of MLD on the face.
