Pre-Care Instructions 

  • Avoid sun exposure and tanning. Sunburned skin will not be treated.

  • Stop using all skin irritants (glycolic/salicylic acids, binzoyl peroxide, retinol products such as Retin-A, Triluma, Differin and Vitamin C) on the areas being treated for at least 2 to 3 days prior.

  • Do not have Botox 2 in the 2 weeks prior to treatment.

  • Advise staff of current and prior medical conditions and treatments.

  • Advise staff if you are pregnant or nursing.

  • Advise staff of all current medications you are taking especially antibiotics.

Post-Care Instructions 

  • Do not pick! this may cause hyperpigmentation and or scarring.

  • If the area is still irritated by the end of the day, apply a cold compress for 10 minutes then moisturize with LuxMD.

  • Use LuxMD 2 to 3 times per day 24 to 48 hours after initial crust or after skin tag or fibromas fall off.

  • Post-treatment skin will be pink and very sensitive with down time of approximately 7 to 10 days of crusting.

  • Avoid exercise, hot tubs, pools, saunas or steam baths for 24 to 48 hours after treatment.

  • Do not apply make-up, creams, lotions or essential oils for 24 to 48 hours after treatment.

  • Avoid direct sunlight immediately following treatment. SPF 30 or higher sunscreen should be applied 10 minutes prior to any sun exposure.

  • Do not use any Retinal or any form of Vitamin A or any peeling or bleaching products prior to healing. Avoid any products containing alcohol.

  • Gently pat skin dry after any moisture expose during healing.

  • Keep skin clean and protected as much as possible during healing to avoid possible infection.
